end of winter break

today cv and i are going to the coast to play for a few days before i start classes again on monday. i can't wait to look out the window at haystack rock and run on the beach with the dogs. it will be great.

i am mailing off a letter to the juvenile judge on behalf of nick today petitioning for more agressive search for foster care placement for him. i hope this is the right thing to do and that it has the purpose i intended--helping nick to grow up healthy and kind. please pray with me that God covers any errors i may have made and that it doesn't harm our relationship with any of the folks that work for nick (like the caseworker). i just can't bear to go through what we went through 1 1/2 years ago again, and i could sense that season starting again.

i ask for God's forgiveness for any errors i have made and his eyes to see the truth. that his grace would cover nicolas and somehow redeem him from his history, genetic predispositions, habits, and sins. may God reveal and provide just the right place for nick and may all of this bring great glory to Jesus. Amen
