peanut butter & why I like my work

peanut butter is quite wonderful on bananas and my dog thinks so too.

i'm all done wrapping presents and it was really fun. i watched "sisterhood of the travelling pants" tonight while i wrapped them. its a great movie. and i'm almost done with my other tasks assigned for tonight--cleaning my office and now off to water plants and clean the kitty potty.

today at work we had a fun christmas party. we sang songs and ate too much good food. it is really cool to work with people from all over. nana is from ecuador but grew up in guatemala. she's about to move to colorado to go to seminary to become a chaplain. yoon, from laos, is so funny--he is my chart room buddy. he makes this amazing sticky rice with delicious sauce. luda is from the ukraine. i guess i don't know much about her yet--except that she has teenagers who think she looks fat in a long baby blue puffy coat. (she doesn't by the way)

a lot of our patients are african american or latino. also there are several from ethiopian or somalia.

sadly, friday may be my last day at the Multnomah County Northeast Health Center. my three month on-call stint will be over.
