In Between

Well, It's nearly official. Tonight is my last class! Tomorrow will be my last day as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Intern! I am actually sad to be leaving the hospital, which is pretty amazing given how anxious I was about beginning. It has been intense, yet invaluable. I said some thank yous today with fruit salad and voodoo donuts--apt treats for those working on the inpatient psych unit.

For the next several weeks, I'll be in the in-between. I graduate on June 8th, yet will likely not have my license until July 8th or later. I continue to wait now for a call from Emanuel regarding the funding of the NP position. If that does not pan out, I am also eager to consider the private practice option. I can hardly wait to know where I will be working.

Imagining life, post-school is a little perplexing. I've had so much of my working hours and leisure hours consumed with studies, it is hard to imagine life much different. Life with evenings and weekends free. Life with good income. Sounds pleasant, doesn't it?
